At the top of Canada's largest Great Lake "Lake Superior" and below what many consider the sixth Great Lake "Lake Nipigon", sits a small town that goes by the name of Nipigon.  Ideally nestled in nature, with these large lakes to the north and south, beautiful and pristine wilderness to east and west, Nipigon is somewhat of a hidden gem.  With its abundance of nature, spectacular views, exciting and challenging terrain and sights that only mother nature herself could produce, it is only fitting to find Epic Adventures located here as well. 

What is Epic Adventures? 

Epic Adventures is an outdoor adventure touring company, that provides one-of-a-kind GUIDED Outdoor Adventures.  Created by Michael Elliott (His picture is surprisingly plastered all over this page) Epic Adventures arose from Michael's passion (some would say "obsession") and love for outdoor activities and adventure, specifically mountain biking.  Michael decided to create Epic Adventures to allow others to share his passion, love and vision of outdoor adventure activities as well as, showcase the beauty of Northwesten Ontario.
 
Never wanting to limit the opportunities to provide the experience of a lifetime, Michael created Epic Adventures to provide a multitude of adventure activities to satsify those interested.  By specializing in a variety of outdoor activites such as hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, GPS instruction, orienteering/geo-caching, road cycling, cross-country skiing (back-country, classic, skate) and snowshoeing, Epic Adventures can fulfill your expectations year-round.  Epic Adventures also provides a shuttle service for those who like to ice/rock climb, winter camp and Thunder Bay airport, easing access to favorite hotspots or unique and interesting locations. 

Epic Adventures is quite unique in that all of its tours are GUIDED.  The benefits of having a guide are numerous, but the biggest benefit is peace of mind.  Safety is the number one concern, and Epic Adventures guides are qualified in each adventure discipline as well as, first aid and CPR.  Epic Adventures guides carry first aid kits, rescue and repair supplies and have knowledge of the tour areas.  As an added bonus, a guide familiar with the area can show you hidden or special sights making your adventure that much more memorable.
